Gerry is a fourth generation Nevada, born and raised in Ely. Gerry holds a B.S. in Plant, Soil and Water Science from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Except for a hitch in the Army, his entire life and professional career has been spent in Northeastern Nevada. Gerry’s experience comes form working on the Fort Ruby ranch as a boy, the with USDA Agriculture Research Services, followed by USDA Forest Service (Ruby Mountian) Ranger District), and is currently a Resource Conservation and Development Coordinator for DA KA Doiyabe RC&D, Inc.
Gerry is also the current President of the Nevada Shade Tree Council and has carried the position of President of the Nevada Section- Society of Range Management.

Delynn. Jones is a fourth generation Elkoan and is a UNR graduate. She is a co-owner of Cedar Creek Clothing and is a staff accountant for Kafoury, Armstrong & Co.
Delynn is an active person who enjoys hiking, backpacking, gardening and beading.

Mr. McAdoo holds a BS in Wildlife Management from the University of Idaho and a MS I Renewable Natural Resources from the University of Nevada-Reno, he is also a Certified Wildlife Biologist an a Certified Professional in Rangeland Management.
Kent brings 27 years of professional experience to the Northeastern Nevada Stewardship Group, nine years as a research associate conducting wildlife and range research with University of Reno in northern and central Nevada. Seven years as an ecologist within the mining environment and six years as senior ecologist/team leader with an environmental consulting firm. He also taught several natural resource courses at Great Basin College and been employed by the University of Nevada Cooperation Exte4nsion as a natural resource specialist, stationed in Elko.
Mr. McAdoo’s current educational and research programs include; sustainable biodiversity/multiple use of rangelands, collaborative resource stewardship, restoration of rangeland health, which includes proper functioning condition for riparian areas. Previous research experience has addressed predator/prey relationships.
Kent has made contributions as past President to both the Nevada Chapter of the Wildlife Society and Nevada Section of the Society for Range Management. Publications at the UNR Cooperative Extension

Mary came to Elko County as a BLM firefighter and chose to stay. Following many years of production mining, she decided to take a new direction while completing a Bachelor degree at Great Basin College.
Currently Ms. Winter is an Environmental Coordinator in mining exploration. She states, “ this role has provided daily opportunities to gain an understanding oaf the full natural cycle of our mountains and an appreciation of the many people that find home, hobby and occupation there.”
Mary is an active member of the Nevada Native Plant Society and contributor to the Nevada Natural Heritage Program “ Wildflower Reports on-line”
Currently, her spare time is devoted to understanding the flora share the diversity and treasures found in these hills in a book that is being developed for publication.
Director Of Mining Lindy Walsh, Newmont Gold
A fifth generation Nevadan, Lindy, was born and raised in Reno. Graduated from the University of Montana in Geology with a minor in Geography and secured a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Lindy is a second generation Landsman, working with Newmont since 2005. Her previous experience includes working in the Right-Of-Way Division of Nevada Department of Transportation and the Nevada Division of State Lands.
Lindy Walsh enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, cooking, quilting and getting her dogs out and about.

Duane a long-time Elko retailer and co-owner of Cedar Creek Clothing who is active in the community has served as president of the Elko Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in the Elko Downtown Business Association. Mr. Jones is also a former District Chairman for the Boy Scouts of America.

Doug Clarke is a graduate of Penn State and holds a BS in environmental resource management. Mr. Clarke is employed by the USFS as a Planner who performs environmental reviews and permitting.
Doug enjoys gardening, camping and photography.

Mr. Dondero is the Associate Filed Manger for the Bureau of Land Management.
Advisor Tracy Shane, Great Basin College
Tracy Shane, a third generation Nevadan from Carson City, has a BS degree in Animal Science and MS degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Tracy’s experience includes serving two years as a soil conservationist and range management specialist, range conservationist and GIS specialist with a natural resource consulting firm. In 2007, Tracy joined the Great Basin College staff as the Agriculture Instructor, teaching classes in agriculture and natural resources.
